Happy New Month and may this month shower each one of us with the very best only. For us at UMB, the month of March is special in more ways than one. First of all, the month of March commemorates our 62nd Independence anniversary as a sovereign country. Independence to us means total financial freedom for you our valued customers. This is why we are working for you and with you to offer you excellent banking products and services.


Coincidentally, the month of March is another significant period in our rich history as an indigenous bank since it marks the historic day on Wednesday 15th March, 1972, when we first opened the doors of our institution to serve you. Our promise to you then and now is to put you first. I will therefore take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all, our valued customers for your trust and loyalty to our brand all these years and for making us the bank of choice.


To commemorate the global celebration of women and their achievements this month, we will mark this year’s International Women’s Day with a series of internal activities on the global theme “Balance for Better”.


This year marks five years since we partnered with the West African Examination Council (WAEC) to support some brilliant students in pursuit of higher learning. In light of this, I will present a full educational scholarship to the overall best student who excelled in the 2018 WASSCE. To the award recipients, we extend our heartfelt congratulations for achieving this remarkable feat and we wish them more success in the future.
