Universal Merchant Bank (UMB Bank) is proud to announce the introduction of three additional VISA cards to give its customers more options in carrying out their transactions. As one of Ghana’s most customer centric banks, UMB Bank partnered with Visa Inc. in April 2015 to introduce the UMB VISA Classic debit card. A year later, UMB Bank has strengthened this partnership with the introduction of the UMB VISA Prepaid card, the UMB VISA Business card and the UMB VISA Platinum card.

Speaking at a press launch to officially introduce the new cards, the Chief Executive Officer of UMB Bank, Mr. John Awuah, stated that the launch of the UMB VISA Classic card last year gave customers of the bank enhanced access to their funds and more transactional options. “However we recognized that while our VISA Classic card gave our customers more options, it did not fully satisfy the unique needs of certain categories of our customers”, he added.

According to Mr. Awuah, the investment made in bringing these new cards to the bank’s cherished customers is a clear indication of UMB’s unflinching commitment to put customers at the centre of everything that the bank does. “This year we have executed several initiatives such as the opening of three new branches, the expansion of our ATM network and the introduction of products such as the UMB Salary overdraft. We assure all of our partners that we will continue to carry out initiatives that will only enrich their lives and help to grow their businesses.” he concluded.
