A Step in the Right Direction: UMB Strategy and Review Sessions

UMB held its inaugural Strategy and Performance Review Session at the Royal Senchi Hotel over a three-day period in early July. UMB management, Department Heads and all Business Managers presented to the Board of Directors and Shareholders. KPMG and Knowledge Capital moderated the sessions. Each presentation addressed what had been accomplished thus far and included a strategic plan for the future.

While we have accomplished a tremendous amount this year, the weekend’s proceedings highlighted that there is much more to do. Indeed, in her opening remarks, Managing Director, Nilla Selormey indicated that the continued success of the bank depends on our ability to adapt to necessary change. Following the close of the weekend, all present understood the magnitude of what had occured and everyone eagerly looks forward to the future and adapting to the necessary changes.
